Jim at Drive-In Park

Jim is originally from Michigan and is a nephew of Terry and Olive Lytle, Drive-In Ministries founders. He grew up familiar with the ministry and in 1972 he joined the ministry as a missionary, serving throughout the U.S. until 1979. Many years later, when Drive-In moved from Florida to Alabama (2008), Jim was invited to serve on the Board of Directors with the new president, Mike Jones, and served three years.

During those three years He felt God’s call to go to Romania and use mobile film ministry to lead young people to Christ. He answered that call and became a missionary again with Drive-In serving for 11 years in Romania, leading many young people to Christ. One of the young people whom Jim trained to work with him on his mobile movie team was Ionut Udrescu, who later became Jim’s missionary replacement when he returned to the states. When Jim returned from Romania in 2021, he moved to Alabama and continues to serve as a missionary with Drive-In at the DI Park ministry and the home office.
